My friend's co-worker has this Benz C-230 Kompressor, i think its like a 2002 or 2003, its the newer ones that looks like its missing a trunk. He thinks he can "smoke me", yes those were his exact words. I wont race him when I have my friend in my car, this is the only time i get to see this MB owner, when i pick my friend up from work. Whenever he wants to race on the streets i dont do it, dont want to risk my friends life. I tell him to take it the track in the spring. So I modestly tell him, he might have a chance against me, but I know only when hell freezes over. Its like he talks shit on my car and how its so heavy and slow, I know I should easily be able to spank him hard, am I right? His car has 189hp in the engine, dont know what it has at the wheels. This asshole pisses me off!!!!!

 

go for it man....let us know how it goes.....im not exactly sure how fast the new kompressor's are, but the older models are pretty quick.....but who cares.....do it even if you know you are gonna lose......

 

the 230 kompressor's is not a fast car
the slk230 is only 192 horser supercharged 4 cylinder

the 320 kompressor's is not a fast car
its only 215 horse v6

I had a few runs and it wasnt much of a challange.


both cars are low 15second cars
the auto is almost as fast as the manual.

You should be able to take him easily my friend has a C230 kompressor and barely beats an 02 accord with only intake and exhaust.

I think that R&T says that their 0-60 time is around 7.1 seconds. You will do fine. He is just trash talking because he has a MB and you have a "japanese car". I have run into that type before.

They do 0-60 in 7.6 according to C&D AND MT. Not sure where the 7.1 came from. Seems a little quick, but it should be no match for the CLS.

Also tell him his car sounds like a tractor.

For all the confusion above, this is not the SLK. This is the ugly little hatchback. They only have the supercharged 2.3L I4. No AMG model

 

Hand the guy his ass, you could do it with the extra passenger. Then thell him that his car looks like ass. Those benze's only look good (IMHO) in the 40+ range. Something about those ugly little wheels and tires on the C230, and C320, that I just don't like, ours suck, but they look good...kinda.

Yeah, you may be right...I might have been wrong about the 7.1s. I was looking into them when my buddy got one and I remember thinking it was about as fast as my Prelude (Auto-SS) which is around 7.7s. The 7.1s was for the manual Prelude. I wasn't sure which Prelude model it was as fast as and I didn't look it up again before posting (sorry!)... I guessed the wrong one and gave the MB the benefit of the doubt. It has been a while since I thought about it. Thanks for the correction.

You'll win. I came up against one in traffic once. There was a steep gradient and I easliy bested the driver and his car. The C230 strikes me as a 'half-car'. For 24k you get half the insides and half the horsepower for half the price of the regular sedan models MB offers. Not very good when you consider you can pick up a lease trade in CL for less.

 

When I had my 5-spd Focus hatchback I took a C230 Kompressor sedan from a stop. If that 130-hp POS can do it, so can you
