Buying opinions please

Hi guys, need an opinion.. been looking at CL-S models for about two months.. looking to buy an 01/02..

Found one at a local acura dealership.
2001 CL-S - Black on Black
86,000km or 52,816miles
dealer warrantied to 120,000km - 75,000miles
no dents, scratches, that I can see.
they want $23,999+GST (remeber this is Canadian)
about $25,800 out the door..

good price or no?

Even assuming it's got the navi, spoiler, and premium wheels that price is a little high. Here's the Blue Book ----> $21,280

Considering it's got a warranty through 75k miles (usually only warrantied to 50k), you might be willing to pay a little more, but not over 23k

Whoa!

didn't know that..... 25k for an 01 with those miles is probably par for the course then.

thing about that... I could get a Red 01 for probably $21,000+GST (7%) at another dealer but it only has a 50,000mile warranty on it.. and I like black better.. lot of money to consider.

Figure here, for that car, $17-$18K...plus maybe $800-$1000 for the warranty...then add your 7% tax.

So $23K+/-(includes tax) CANADIAN is still about right.

I assume Canada gets the 100k tranny warranty, if not, you'll probably need it.
otherwise the 01s are great cars. don't know the $ conversion though.

That's what I was thinking. I thought one can get a certified pre owned from a dealer with an extended bumper to bumper warranty. Giving you less then 25K miles from your purchase date is not much of an extended warranty. I'd push to get this extended to 100K miles for the entire car.
