Buying a Durango

Ive felt the need recently to get a second car cause my CL is getting too many miles on it, so my grandad said he would sell me his 2002 Durango with 4500miles on it for pretty much dirt cheap.....i think the KBB value is $22000 and he's gonna let me have it for $15000, so i really cant resist....i'll post some pics when i bring it home next week....plans for it are a 3"suspension and 3"body lift and maybe some exhaust work.....

what motor does it have?? my truck has the 5.9....theres UNLIMITED potential in that motor!! for less than a grand worth of mods (not counting installs, most of which ive done myself) ive got at LEAST an additional 50 whp and 60+ ft lbs of torque. with the mods in the truck now, ill beat any CL-S off the line (yeah, it does fall flat after about 50 mph, but what can you expect from an 8000 lbs vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick!!) ive got a great connection in Toronto for mods, if youre interested shoot me a PM, the guy is unbeatable for prices and service.

I have some acquantances who were amazed at the poor resale value of their Durangos. They are so cheap here, even fully loaded.

I wish it was an R/T, but unfortunately its got the 4.7L V8...still enough to have a little fun....yeah, it may have a poor resale value, but for this deal I dont think i can pass it up...who knows, its basically for my daily driver and who knows after about 6 months i may sell the CL for something a little bit faster....not sure what that might be.......I mean i can only get like 24k(maybe) for my CL now, so having two car payments might be a little much for my budget right now.....

probably....he had a stroke about 2months back and they havent cleared him to drive yet, so im not sure if he'll buy another one or not....hell this one was mainly for his trip to the mountains car or when we had bad weather in the winter...also a car for us to borrow if our cars were in the shop....so who knows, i was hoping to swap straight up for the S430
