Business Card Tray

My business card tray (above the audio system) is stuck. There are 10 business cards and a pen in my tray.

It only slides out about an inch and then is stuck.

Any suggestions how to fix this? I'm surprised this happened with a seemingly well-engineered automobile.

TIA,
EllioT

Apparantly you have never worked in a major corporation...It is my guess that some intern or new hire was put in charge of the business card tray.

I thought that tray was just a CD holder tray?

Try inserting an 3x5" index card into the top portion of the tray then slowly pulling the tray out.

It should stop the lid from catching on the upper lip of the opening allowing you to remove it.

Happened to me too. Now I only keep gas cards and a notepad/pen in there.

What he said.. It doesn't have anything to do with a well engineered auto. Doesn’t make any difference how well engineered, somebody will not use it correctly (and blame someone else).. YMMV

My old (rest in peace, '94 Max) car had a similar pop out tray, but it broke in the out position. For a mere $80, I could've gotten it fixed. Needless to say, it stayed broken. Hope your business card tray doesn't break and good luck!

Speaking of the business card tray, what a goofy little thing. I use it, but it's so darn small. My salesman told me Acura converted it from a CD holder to the tray when the CD player was upgraded to a 6 disc in-dash unit. Probably just easier to spec out something else than modify the dash.

Use an emery board or long nail file. The lid on the "business card holder" is stuck up a little bit.
