Broken Header Stud

How bad would it be to run with one snapped off (temporarily of course)? Easy fix or PITA?

I thought there was a thread from the stone age where someone broke one off, but I can't find it.

If you are talking about the actual header stud and not the heat shield, I would get it fixed as soon as you can. It can cause leaks.

It'll run, but like Ravin said, get it fixed ASAP. You might hear some extra noises too

Yeah, I need to. Hoping it's a DIY kinda deal. Guess I'll see when I pull the headers off again. Otherwise someobody will be paid for a mistake. I found some "advice" if you can call it that over on the 2GTL side. We'll see what else I can break while trying to fix one problem.

I'm just taking a guess on this one, but maybe try backing two bolts up onto each other and crank the stud out. I'm assuming it just screws into the head.

Drill it out and re-thread the head?

Get a dremel with a really small cutting head, and drill an X or a I in it, and try to back it out. That way you don't have to make a new thread in the block.
