I think that the Brembos are great from the factory but I can assure you they are not the Brembo's 2 piece rotor aluminum hats. It wont be cost effective to the customers.

Brembo designs the brakes but of course within a certain price cap. Its like the Bose system in the car, they make them as good as they can but not to exceed the price cap

 

what about porsches, and the jag s type-r

 

Porsche makes their own brakes. And from what I hear they are AMAZING. Don't know bout the jag typeR.

what about audi? doesn't the tt or rs6 come with brembos?

 

as someone else noted, factory brembos are not the same as the kits they offer. for example, the resistance to fade between a stock g35c and a 6 speed g35c will not be very different.
my buddy got his g and i will ask him later on how it feels.
but the way i see it, the brembos on that car offer 4 piston perf. but i highly doubt they are more than a few tenths of an inch bigger than the factory rotors, plus they are only vented like the factory.
still though i think ANY upgrade in brakes from the factory is a definate plus, just remember factory setups are not the same as the 2k kits.

Well my friend just recently bought a 2003 10th anniversary edition svt cobra and it has brembos on it. At least that is what he told me. Never really looked at his car that close to make sure that was right. Just not that big of a mustang fan.
