Braking
Im in dire need of brakes for my car but cant go for the $1000ish BBK...just wondering what is the best brake setup to get for around 5-600 I would like to have better pads and possibly slotted rotors if possible at that price.. Any suggestions would be great.
I have seen the group buy for the rotora slotted rotors and have researched other brake brands...but would like to know what most are riding on if not the usual BBK and what are good brands i can get for now until i do have the money saved up for the BBK (which will be soon)....Need the brakes to pass inspection and the rejection sticker is getting annoying...plus im getting scared to go pass 60 and i have a 6spd...(very hard to not do)..

Go to your local auto parts store and get some ceramic bendixs. Two year replacement and they arent very loud. As for rotors, get the Rotoras, they are solid, don't warp easily and are a quality product.
Its as simple as that, I went through the same thing for about a month and this setup was my final conclusion. Its durable and increases stopping power.

You could always wait in the black market for a used set of BBK so they won't run you so much. There is also the option of getting the Acura Legend two piston caliper upgrade.

If you're going to do the BBK setup soon (define soon), then just get the cheapest rotors and pads you can find. Why throw away money?
If the BBK's are not in the immediate future, then what NSXNEXT said.

just a quick bit of info,,, I have the rotolla, axis ultimate,, just replaced after 65k miles,,, only issue is the pads wear out the rotors,, ie the front wore down to almost not able to re-surface (they now don't have any slots left),, the rear rotors will have to be replaced,, just a fyi ceramic pads work great,, there is a cost of needed new rotors every brake job.
