Hawk makes a great pad. The Hawk Ceramics are a great street pad with good stopping power.

We also have them on sale on our website too if interested:

I've always heard good things about Hawk pads. I have a few friends with Cobra's and they swear by them. Its funny that you ask cause i'm putting a set in this week cause my pads are low as hell! I'll let ya know.

I've been running Hawk HPS pads with my Rotora slotted front rotors for about 30k 3 years now as it was one of my first mods. Got them front Mr Excelerate too^.

They've been great and have saved my ass a few times!!! The pads didn't dust too much and weren't that noisy either. Overall very happy with my purchase bc as we all know the stock break are crap and totally over powered by this car.
It is however time to replace my whole break set-up but I got 30 hard thousand miles trouble free with that set-up. Which is why I will be looking towards Rotora and Hawk again.

i have had them on my EM2 for about 45k hard miles and there great, no sounds but you should break (so to speak) them in like you would stock, slotted or drilled rotors whether or not you put rotors on your car with new pads, i assume you are sense CL rotors cant be turned...

If CL rotors can be turned please correct me...

Stock ones or blanks can. If they're just slotted you usually can. But if they are drilled rotors you can't turn them.

Dave...

I put a set of OEM replacements on my CL and they were (new 28.0-28.XXmm thick) any way the rotors I replaced were old but (when new 28.0 and 28.15 thick) when iI changed them there was a good 2-4mm lip on the edge and the outside of the rotor said 26mm minimum.

Dave if your telling me I could of still turned my rotors and saved a good bit of $$$ please let me know (i still have the old rotors...)

now, I did not buy new. I will learn much more with being personally responsible for this car and maintaining. (I paid $6,700, I may or may not of got ripped off.) if the car last 35,k before a big repair or 3years I will feel successful in this investment. ~fingers crossed~

I know, I know. But I have calmed down, havent I?

And to keep this semi-on-topic, Hawk pads are very good street pads. But I love my EBCs and I dont think Im going back. I wouldn't hesitate to put the Hawks on my mothers Accord though. They stop nicely.

No worries, you've got questions, and this is the place to ask. I'm not sure on the machine limit for OE rotors on our car, but if you didn't buy them new than i'm not sure if you could cut 'em and have them resurfaced. Rotors aren't too bad though, OE blanks anyways.
