Brake light just turned on
Hey guys, wondering if you can help. My Brake light on the dash came on yesterday and then shut off after a few mins of driving. Didn't really think anything of it since it didn't come back on after 250 mi of driving. Then today, right when I turned the car on, the same thing happend. Drove for about 5 mins on the way to work and then it shut off. I looked at all the brakes, no calipers are frozen. BTW, I have an 01 CL-S. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

LOL phipark. Yeah mine went off and hasn't come back on. I haven't checked the brake fluid yet, but its most likely that. I really hope its not the brake master cylinder seal. I've spend enough on the water pump, timing belt, plugs, power steering pump and brakes in the last few months. Oh and I did check my brake lights in the rear, they are all working. Not to sound stupid, but where would the brake fluid be? Never had to check it before. Thanks.

I'm sorry I don't have more info but my brake light used to come on once in a while and the problem was resolved once replacing that seal. It was something related to that seal there. I will try to do a little more research to find out if I can.
I just searched a little bit. It seems that there is some kind of screen/filter/seal in the resevoir that may need to be replaced. Where did you get the seal thing at? I would like to get this done at the same time I'm installing my brake lines and flushing the system.
