I was wondering if anyone had this same problem under hard acceleration.
While accelerating from a stop (about 3/4 throttle), my brake light came on for a few seconds then it turned off before shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

I've got 90,000 miles on this slushbox auto and am working on tranny #2. I can feel the tranny getting worse everyday and it shifts hard.

 

Your brake fluid is low.

When was the last time you had it flushed?

 

never, car is 3 years old

 

Well in that case I would have it done ASAP. Your brake master cylinder probably isn't too happy after 3 years and 90k miles on the same fluid.

 

Thanks. I think I've got all the tools to do so, but finding time and someone to help me bleed the brakes will be tough, and I'm a cheap bastard.
