The black vinyl OEM bra on my CLS has stretched and fits loosely now and flaps a lot. Is there a way to tighten it? I see the straps are not adjustable. I only have the hood bra, not the bumper cover bra. I only use it for road trips, not in town.

 

Leave it out in the sun maybe? Put it in the drier on low for a few minutes?

 

I have never seen a bra on our cars, can you post some picts of yours with it on. how far up the hood does it go?

 

 

Also try a heat gun or hair drier.

 

hmm, heat makes it floppy and loose, ever heard of the shrinkage effect of cold water?

 

TO make your car bra tighter you will need to roll it up and place it in plastic bag. Then place bag with bra in freezer for about 4-6 hrs. It will shrink and fit on the hood somewhat tighter. Just remember do not leave bra on car all the time because engine heat, ambient heat and the sun will make it loose again.

 

Really? I thought heat made it shrink?

 

heat stretches, cold shrinks. (you never saw George on Seinfeld when a girl seems him naked after just getting outta the pool, shrinkage).

thanks, I only put it on for long road trips, about 3-4 times a year.

I may try the freezer or tying knots in the mounting straps to shorten them.
too bad the straps aren't adjustable.
