bodykit in the works

I was at a show in Laughlin over the weekened called the "motorsports expo." Dubbed a "mini SEMA." Anyhow, I was speaking with a company called "Traders" located in So Cal, and inquired (they put my in contact with their "import" specialist")about CL accessories. He mentioned a few things I had already heard of, and asked what I'd be interested in...well I told him I'd like a subtle bodykit, similar to that of the SEMA CL. He responded that there is a local shop in his area working on one. He said he saw the unpainted prototype installed on an 2001 CL-S and it looked really nice. I asked him the name of the shop, but forgot...so, I'm really no help, but at least you know someone it trying to make us a kit. Also, I spoke with Trenz and I'm sending them my factory grill so they can use it to make a billet grill insert...look for that in the future. I'll post pics once mine is installed. None of the other people were any help when it came to the latest gen CL, but nonetheless, those two things are exciting to me.

good luck, traders will most likely make kits for civics and tegs, they are getting into the import scene to "get into" the import scene, this does not include the CL

Traders wasn't going to carry the kit, he just told me of a shop that is. Mr CLPower, as soon as I told them I did't have a truck, they introduced to me a guy that was in charge of their "sport compact" interests. I'm not sure of his name, but if you get ahold of him he may be able to give you more info on this.

he looked to be in his late 20s...short hair, kinda beefy. I think he said he drove an Accord.

If they made an exact replica of the SEMA kit, can that company get sued?

Unless the company has a patent on the SEMA kit, anybody can make one.
