Blacked out chrome on my Anthracite

I used that blackout tape today on the window chrome to see how it looked. I like it, but this mod is probably a short term one, no way that tape is staying on for too long. It was pretty easy to do, took about 1-2 hours but I was kind of anal about it.
Too bad Acura didn't go ahead and black out more when they blacked out the 03 headlights. Wouldn't mind having the chrome painted over.
Now just need some new rims, and as always, a non spoiler trunklid.

Pep Boys, $3.99 for 20 feet, but I cut it down the middle cause it's 2x as wide as you need, and had plenty.

looks good, but why do you say short term, when I took it off it was a bitch. Once the glue starts to dry it becomes really tough.

Oh I didn't realize it cures so strong. Didn't really want a hassle if I decide to remove it, but it'll be good if it stays on for car washes and the Texas heat.

Thanks for the information and the picture. What did you use to take that crap off? Will it leave permanent marks? I think that silver car looks good but I dont want a lot of hassle down the road.

I managed to peel a corner back and pull off the rest, no permanent marks except some excess glue which I removed with some polish and a little elbow grease. The only reason I took it off cause I was planning to cover the trim with some SSM colored vinyl.
