Bittersweet Victory
So I had an urge to go test-driving today with a friend, and after going to several dealerships we were exhausted. I mentioned that I was thinking about trading my car in on a new car, although mine isn't fully paid off I thought the synthesizing of payments wouldn't be too bad.
So I Kbb'ed my car and found that it was worth around $6.7k...okay, understandable. I did a few payment calculators etc etc and found that I'd probably end up nasty note. I was looking at Mini's, Rx-8s, and the like but really fell in love with the MS 3. So I found a new used one for around 17k, although I could get it for maybe 15.5.
I went to crunch numbers when it dawned on me that I owe more than I thought on my car once I redid the figures with interest and whatnot.
In the back of my mind through all this I kept having an urge to just keep the car, drop it and add some nice wheels.
So long story short, rationality wins, and I keep the boat for longer than I thought.
