Hey, I recently purchased a 2001 CL-S a week later, I put some fuel injection cleaner in it and some octane booster. Later on, I put some Engine Restore in the engine. Like a few weeks later, I read the manual and it basically said I didn't need to put additives in the vehicle because it was fine the way it was. Do any of you add that STP solution to your car or any oil additives?

I would say the most common extra additive to add from this board is seafoam. Do a search on it and you will come up with a lot.
The other stuff doesnt do very much, but i have heard some good things about techron. I dump a bottle of fuel cleaner in it every oil change or so but only cause i got it for free. but i dont think that does much either cause I use chevron (which already has techron) and shell (v-power with "5x more cleaning agents) so my system should already be clean.
bottom line, use seafoam or nothing else cause chance are anything else will do little or nothing.

STP and the other additives were good 30 years and more ago and more, but that was when oils were not as good quality as today's. Use a good brand of oil and brand name gas and you'll never need any of that stuff. Also why octane boost? Your car's computer takes care of any issues. A waste of money and your time.
