A bit upset bout this year's car pics by MT and C&D

the TL-S wasn't used in either magazine's testing, but the RSX was???????? the RSX even got into C&D's 10-Best?????? where's this coming from??? the TL-S is 10 times what the RSX could ever b!!!

as far as MotorTrend goes, altho they SAY it's a grueling process, painstaking time and effort, let the record show that 3 of the last 4 years have been an exotic looking car...Thunderbird this year, PT Cruiser last year, and Beetle was '99...sounds a bit shady to me...o well...so i guess a Thunderbird can beat a BMW M3, Mercedes C32 AMG, Audi A4, and the Infiniti Q45 among others...BOGUS!!!!!! not buyin it for a second!!!

sorry guys, had to vent a bit...it's nerving to c this amount of bs go into choosing a car everyone should b buying...paying mid to upper 30's for a 2 seater convertible ain't my idea of practicality...that's what i thought MT did when they tested these cars...they look for enjoyment, livability, comfort, power, ease of use, etc. since i haven't tested the T-bird personally, maybe im missing something.

All those "awards" are biased. They base them on what's "new" & the amount of money they recieve from picking that car. They may not tell you, or admit it, but i'm sure they get kickbacks from the manufactures of the cars they pick. They used to be straight, but not anymore. Even there test of cars are a little biased.

Those magazines can skip the CL totally for all I care. The fewer people with the car, the better. I never want the CL to end up like the Camry!!!!! I know I made the right choice so F the magazines!!

I don't like the new T-Bird (aka drop top Lincoln LS). I saw a dealer that marked it up from $38k to $49k. That my friends is a true waste of money. I'll buy a convertible Corvette or Boxster S if I'm going to drop that much $$.

I agree with everyone. Out of all the cars on the list that MT tested the T-Bird would be near the bottom on my list. The tests are a joke. Mitsubishi Lancer??? how did that get on the list?

I fucking agree, and what is worse than the magazines shit are the dumbasses that buy these cars cause of what the magazines say. The town in NY i'm from is a bunch of ignorant fucks that just go by what the critics say. They would get cars that the magazines or consumer reports rated good. That's great go rate a vaccum then rate a car, thats who I want to trust.

I got the Jeep GCL and I told my friend to get one too but his mom said well we are gonna get him the 4 runner cause it was rated higher and it has a lower rollover rating. Does she even know what it takes to roll over a car. And how often it happens. And umm Jeep is quicker, better offroad, quieter. People who read magazines only and base their decision soley on that piss me off to no end. The Alero is supposed to have a bad front crash rating and some moms were telling my mom that when I got it, well I crashed it at 80 fucking MPH into a wall and you know what I didn't get one scratch on me. Magazines are BS.

My Dad used to live by the Car of the Year report. Because of this, we ended up buying two BEAUTIES....the '81 K Car and the '83 Renault Alliance. That goes to show you that the winner is usually a PIECE of S**T!!!!! These were 2 of the worst cars in HISTORY...so I would take the C.O.Y picks with a grain of salt.
