BIG NEWS RE: 2002 CL
Well guys, I just got my oil changed at Ferman Acura here in Tampa and while I was waiting I went to the new car showroom to see if they had any 2002 CL brochures. They did!!!! So in my posession I have an 02 brochure. There are no and I repeat no cosmetic changes to our cars other than the side view mirrors being all the same color as the rest of the car. As I was there one of the salesman came up and said he had heard a rumor about a six speed; there is nothing listed in the brochure about this--but if it is not coming out until spring this would make sense. There is one new color called Noble green metallic but is not available on the S. I for one am extatic at the lack of cosmetic changes. If you have any fuher questions just post them as a reply to this and I will respond

The manual may come out next spring.. only a few changes to get by for now, the major changes 5 months after the next release.
Kinda like the 2001 TL release.. 5 months later. Type-S!!

If I wasn't so impatient with the need for the CL, I might have waited for this supposed 6 speed to be out. Too bad since I don't believe buying the same model car again... DAMN U ACURA!

I received my 2002 brochure in the mail today.
There are 3 "new" colors listed in the 2002 brochure from the 2001:
Aegean Blue Pearl(Type S, Ebony interior only); Eternal Blue Pearl (CL-P, Ebony interior only)- looks maybe a hair lighter in shade to the Monteray Blue Pearl, but could just be the photo; and the prior mentioned Noble Green Metallic(CL-P, Parchment interior only)
Here is a complete list of the available Genuine Acura accessories (listed on page 23):
Under-body spoiler
All-Season Floor Mats(Front)
Steering Wheel w/simulated wood-grain trim
Simulated wood-grain meter trim panel
Simulated wood-grain A/C vent trim panel
Car Cover
Mahogany Shift Knob
Gold Emblem Kit
Ashtray/Cigarette lighter
Engine Block Heater
Acura Protection Pckg(includes splash guards, trunk tray, & wheel locks)
Rear-wing Spoiler
Again, no changes to headlights, taillights, wheels, or other desires. Guess, we'll have to look to the Spring for something major. By then, I'll already be in my new CL-S.
Later-

I was hoping for some minor body changes or at least the 2002 TL headlights & grill.
My dilemma: If /When I get the 6-Speed I want non CL “junkies” to know I got a new car.
If I get another RED one, it will look exactly the same.
Anyone who had the 2002 Brochure:
Is there a chance that the Aegean BLUE comes with the Parchment interior color now ???

I vote for a Feb/Mar 2002 release of a 2003 CL-S 6-Speed.

Ok, I just got back from my sales in acura.... got the 02 CL broucher.... No, no six speed in the first half of the CLS... and the sales confirm that the first group of CL will arrive around mid-Sep. and six speed won't be out until Feb 15, 2002, but they WILL be out... cuz he let me look at their training guide, they do show the six speed configuration, and stuff... and there WILL be a factory for the CLs, but not sure will it be the SEMA kit, but there will be one.... Price LISTED at $1350, and the cost for those are $1020. These are the info that we have now.... update more later...
