Cool idea... a bit pricey for what it does..

I never read an independent review. You should get the EX verison.

The Equus has been on sale at Kragen for $99 the last month or so. I am thinking about getting it... I take that back, I don't know what model the Kragen one is so not sure if it's the same thing.

Would these allow me to remove an "over-rev" code from the computer without the dealer knowing?

Check these out, http://www.ntxtools.com/Merchant/mer...egory_Code=224

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/pro_d...re&dir=catalog

Or you could get the best for a steal at a little over $2000

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/pro_d...re&dir=catalog

It says the $800 Snap on model will erase codes. I'd confirm that before buying it though.

Pulling the battery cable off for 10 min will clear all codes stored in memory.

I use the Autotap(enhanced version) on my Regal, it is probably the best available for my car. I looked and they have one listed for Chrysler and Imports. Not sure if it would work for your car. You might wanna give them a call. I have the PC version, but you can get a Palm version as well.

www.autotap.com

Edit for typing.

Now are these compatable with Sony Clie or Palms?

I remember I was recomended to use Auteraweb. The member that recomended it to me also had a Clie. The next day I called them and got no answer. In the end I figured that they went out of business.

It depends on what you want to do, just read codes or read codes and data. If you want to do both then the only option is PC based software or Palm based.

If just codes is needed then get one of the units like mentioned in your original post.

If data is desired then Autotap is the best but costs more and you only get the generic data like all other. The http://www.obd-2.com works great and is one of the best for the price but still only generic OBDII data.

ahh, no enhanced version for ya. That sucks. I think you guys need to get on A-tap. Maybe if you could get a group buy, they might develop the enhanced parameters, especially with the number of SC C&TLs that are or will be running around soon.
