I joined the 'Bent Rim' club a couple days ago when I found out that 3 out of my 4 rims are bent! Just had the guys balance them the best they can and it rides fine now. Need replacing soon. Just bought those rims a few months ago. Oh well, looks like its coming time to spend another $2k on rims (good excuse
).

Did they try using the BFH on it?
This tool works great and has been renowned over the years, since the middle ages, as the best tool to work out bends.
I used to use a the BFH when I worked at a tire shop. Just stand on the rim and use the BFH with a full arc to throw it. See if they can get it out with that, or at least make it driveable and the bead of the tire will not leak.

I have a slightly, and I mean slightly bent rim for sale if anyone with experience in BFG application wants to buy it.
Seriously, I replaced it only because it had the slight bend. The tire didn't leak and I noticed no difference in the car with the new one. So I guess it was a waist of $300.

Thanks all for the good advice. BFH....too funny! Anyway, I'll try to look on ebay, but in the meantime if anyone knows of a good place on the web to get these rims I would I appreciate the heads-up. Thanks again.

Iwould suggest looking or asking around for a welding company that fixes rims. I know there is one in houston that starts at 69 per rim and they have some amazing work. THey will restore almost anything, just not worth buying a new one. Specially from the dealer. If you buy from teh dealer you can almost get yourself 3 new no name rims. So you coul djust get ur self an entire new set or just try and fix it. I made the mistake of buying from the dealer in the past on my old car. Charged me 500 per rim.

I scratched one of my rims a week after I bought my CL-S.. The damn things stick out too far. Anyways, I called the dealership and asked them if they had any for sale. They said a new one would cost $300 but they also had brand new ones they had taken off of TL-S and CL-S and they said they would sell it to me for $150 plus $20 install/balance and all the other stuff. I told the dealer I would give them $130 for the rim and they said that would be fine.
So, try giving your local dealership a call.

Alright. Need everyone's help on this decision....
I found this place on-line (http://www.800wheels.com/cart/Honda_Acura_CL_Aluminum_Alloy_Wheels_and_Rims.htm) .
They have refinished CL-S Rims for $229.00 (vs. $350++ at the dealer). Has anyone ever purchased a refinished Rim? Do you think it's worth it?? I'm thinking I just have to suck it up and buy a new one from the dealership, but my waller disagrees. What a you think fellas?????
