Ok there's a guy who has an rsx base model automatic wanting to challenge me in a race at the track (drag strip). He's got a full catback exhaust, tein springs, and just some front cosmetic stuff like a front lip or something which really doesn't matter. My car is a CL-P with an AEM V2 Intake as a mod. Would I destroy him or would he destroy me?

After having some thoughts about this I'm wondering if he's hiding something. In other words Nitrous. My friends Trans Am has the best stealth nitrous setup I've seen yet. Maybe I'll take a sneak peek at what i'm up against under that automatic rsx.

 

if you're concerned about nitrous then make sure you state that it's an all motor race up front.
...then check his car for a bottle.

 

Tell him that you will bet money as long as he's being honest about his mods.

Other than that, from what you described, it sounds like you could win. I would recommend best out of 3.

 

Your going to SMOKE him. If I were you, I would put as much money as you can on the race.

 

He is gonna have a hard time breaking into the 15 second range. RSX automatics are SLOW.

I'd race for pink slips 2F2F style.

easy race i beat my friends RSX i/h/e stick shift all the time and he can drive pritty well base model is garbage its the Type S's that are tricky.

You should beat him with no problem (as long as he's honest about his mods).

Not much of a contest there racersky. That person needs more than a catback to beat a CL-P with intake.

Maybe I can hustle him into thinking his RSX can beat my 02 Maxima. I'm always open to easy money.

 

If he claims to only have exhaust and he runs 14's then you'll know he's passing gas. Make sure you say it's all motor or else...

that is a 16 second car. Base RSX=160 hp Automatic= maybe 110 to the wheels.
i have a buddy who drove an RSX-Type S(05) 210 hp. ran a 15.1 at 95 with a 2.1 60ft. that car would take cat back to run 14's.

 

Sorry for the late late post guys I've been cramped up with studying for my exams which are killing me. Yeah I did raced him but apparently he raped my ass. I took off and go like a few car lengths and then he flew right by me. I forgot what he ran but from seeing that I knew he just cheated with the spray. I guess that's a loss for me now.
