Battery Terminals

I found out my battery had the green and white residue. Thus, I was thinking about changing me terminals to copper and instead of getting a new a battery? Will this help the reduce the acid and residue effect? Thanks

Spray some battery terminal cleaner on it to clean it, then protect it with battery terminal protector spray (or cover the terminal judiciously with grease).

pour some carbonated water or soda over it. it'll clean out the green stuff.

Thanks the info guys...but my main question is the copper terminals. Should I change them to the copper terminals?

Use some WD-40 to clean the terminals. It is a great idea to clean em every oil change or so....

wd 40 would clean it just by spraying on it?? wouldnt u have to unclip the wires and clean them to??? i have the same problem and thinkin about replacing batter and terminal since it comes from the battery... isnt that why it builds up cuz the battery is leaking acid a bit???

i also read some where that you need to put silicone on the battery when replacing a new battery from avoiding battery acid leak/fluffy corosion?? im thinking about trying it and cleaning the wires a bit... my cars been dieing and i think this problem being fixed would be better
