Well, Last week I started having tranny probs. Had trouble shifting from 2 nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. After 2 days I had to start driving it it automatic and quit using the shifter. So last Thursday I made an apptmt with dealership for Monday morning. My car barely made it in to the dealership. The check engine light came on, the emergency light lit up and my D5 was flashing at me.... I thought just get me to the dealership. I finally made it. They called me at munch time and told me that I needed a new tranny. Prob is its on backorder. The dealer told me they had a Type-S in there at the moment for 2 weeks now waiting on a new tranny. Who knows when I'll get my car back....My baby is in thew shop......What will I do without her????

i see..buddy.did dealer said how much they are going to offer u to rent the car? after u get your cls back. give your new tranny a 1000 miles or so for proper run in.that might last longer. i did give my cls' tranny for like 1500 miles run in....wish it can last forever.

Now calling #1033541, calling #1033541 . . . your order is ready for pick-up.
Bummer
Hopefully, your new one will come with "secret sauce"...
I would like to see Acura's CEO, President, and top managers have to drive CLs and TLs with broken transmissions until problem is solved. Then see how long the problem takes to correct.

Maybe it's class action or lemmon law time. Hondas had transmission problems for years and still do. Can not get answer from Acura what the problem is. They must know, but are not telling us. We must contact all car magazines, J.D.Powers, Consumers and others. This action might shake aup Acura management.

Should a classaction suit be brought? YES.
(Does it matter if we win? NO. We just have to make some noise instead of sitting here bitching about it in private.)

Ok - forgetting the idea that you need a real reason for a lawyer to take a case - how are you gonna pay for it? Remember - lawyers only work for "free" if they think they are going to make good bank on the suit. So - no case, no free. No free, big $$$. Unless you're a lawyer.
Edit: Your best bet is to lemon law your car, if possible. That doesn't usually require a lawyer.

I think every time one of us winds up with tranny problems and Acura takes too long, we should go after them with the lemon law. If they get a bunch of them, they may wake up ..
Well, I went to the dealership yestrday to pick up my lonaer.......a Mitsubishi Galante............oh yeah!!!! I get to drive a piece of crap around for the next few weeks.....This sucks......Should I write a letter to ACURA??

I feel your pain, but there's nuttin Acura is gonna do about the loaner. I got stuck with a Dodge Intrepid - UGH! Mine took 19 days, and Acura Customer service offered me a free oil change.
Call the CS number, open a call with them and see what you get. RESEARCH your lemon laws. I was about to file my claim when they fixed mine,
