back to the 5watt lights

by accident, i had to work yesterday and noticed after i had my car handwashed, that there was alot of moisture in the left driving light, so i called parts and they had one in stock, i removed the light and tried to get my oversized 18watt bulb out, and (crack) glass everywhere in the old light, so i got 2 stock bulbs for now, removed the bulb from the right lamp (it came right out) and installed the crappy 5 watt - i'll have to stop over my friends shop and pick up some more piaa's

Once you upgrade, there is no going back... the 5 watt bulb doesn't cut it anymore.

Although I wish they were higher quality bulbs out there that didn't burn out every three months..

my 5 watt PIAA's are running fine for over a year. Maybe something in the design of the larger bulbs? Maybe the larger bulbs don't sit tight in the socket and they vibrate more??

My Polarg M6s have been in since last June, working great. If one dies, I'm taking them both out and not replacing them. Probably taking out the light housings too.

Hey btw, this makes me wonder - someone was saying you have to have bulbs down there because those lights are considered something required by law or something silly like that - the new CL-S doesn't have them and doesn't have any additional lights, does it? So that means we CAN remove those "foglights" and not be illegal or anything.

state inspection laws vary from state to state, in pa if there were lights there, they have to stay there and work

Acura_service,
Could you please check for me to see if the black plastic pieces (where the road lamps are in our car) in 03 CL are available and the price? I wanna try something with them. Thanks.
