Baby Seat?

Anyone put a baby seat in the back of the CL? My sister has a 1 year old I may have to babysit here and there, so wondering how well the CL works with a babyseat inthe rear. thanks

I did it for a couple months. With a 1 year old, it may be a bit tough. With our new born, it was easy since it was on the side as opposed to the middle as is usually recommended. Personally, I would say it could be done if really necessary.

We have an infant, so the car seat is small, I can put a baby pretty easy (no difficult at all). Make sure you install the base for the car seat, then its really easy.

I agree, that's what the wife's car is for! Just put the car seat in, fits better than in my last car (Saab 9-3 2dr). BTW, it's a fairly large forward facing car seat (Britax).

It does. It was a lot easier getting the car seat in with the new born, but a he gets older and heavier, it was going to be a pain in the ass. It was tougher, room-wise, on anyone sitting back there with him for extended periods of time.

I couldn't keep the car seat behind me because my seat was too far back. Having it behind the passanger's seat was the only way. And that meant that the wife had to sit behind me, which left her little leg room, and if anyone sat in the passanger's seat there wasn't too much space either since the seat had to be far up.

Ditto.

I traded in my baby for a 4 door car and an SUV. Eventually I may come back and get a 2 door car, but for now, I do what is more important to me.

I had a few over the years. Just people I was with that needed rides with the baby. Seemed fine to me, but I'm not schooled on the subject.

I purchased a Recaro baby seat for my two year old "grand monkey". She loves it. It has the "teather system". Our cars have the metal rings that are required for this system. Thankfully, I am still very flexible. I'm 6'2", which makes it a bit of a pain. She is in that "me do it" stage, and climbs very well. Hence "grand monkey". She climbes in and out on her own. I just have to snap her in. 4 doors are easier, but it can be done. You "young guys" should have no trouble at all.

I transport my daughter around in the CL without a problem... Besides, she likes the sound of the Comptech Exhaust.
