Cool axxis ultimate pads

How many miles should I expect to get out of these pads(axxis ultimates)? Im using rotora slotted disc. The front pads seem to be about 40 to 45% at about 30,000. Only noticed pad wear due to brake fluid light coming on on steep hills. No fluid leaks, had to fill due to pad wear. The rear pads seem like 75% is still left. So is this premature wear? I think about 20,000 might be left on them. Original equip pad lasted over 80,000 with pad left, but were changed out due to new pad / rotor resurface recall.

Note: These axxis ultimate pads have good stopping power, no squeaks, but high dust.

Any suguestions for future pad brand that has less dust but same stopping power and is quiet?

I use Axxis metal masters on my 300zx and am very happy with them. They have built in shims, create very little dust, have good stopping power, and are very quiet. Just make sure you use the nasty anti-squeal compound on the back of the shims and they won't squeak one bit. These are popular in the 300zx community and will hold up for quite awhile. I am sure they would work great on a CL as well.

No squeaks yet. I had the rotra/ultimate combo. At first they seem to be perfect. After awhile you start hearing the squeaks....mostly when the brakes are cold. The stopping power is great but the noise isnt'...so I replaced them with Akibono...they are better then OEM but not as good as the ultimates. No dust and no noise...but I do miss the stoping power

Definitely an improvement from stock pads on the 300zx, especially after they heat up. I have slotted cryo treated rotors on the front and x-drilled on the rear and the Axxis MM padswork and feel great.
