Awww Crap
ItsMy maintenance required light started flashing at me for a few secs when I start the car.
I really don't have time for this right now as I have several projects going on. Cani wait a week or two... or more? Normally I'm religious about maintenance, I'm just so massively overwhelmed right now...

If its only flashing when you start the car its not quite time for maintenance. Its just a warning telling you that it is almost there. Whats your mileage at now? Nothing to worry about just quite yet.
It flashes like that between 6,000-7,500 miles letting you know that you are approaching the normal service interval. If you get service from anywhere but the dealer you will need to reset the button yourself. You can find the procedure in your owners manual. I think you need to hold down the reset and select buttons at the same time for ten seconds and then restart the car, that might be a little bit off though so consult your owners manual if possible for the exact procedure. Don't worry about it just be sure to keep up with your maintence like oil changes (if you are approaching a major service interval ie. 15,30,45 thousand miles etc. then you should go to acura)

I'm at 36,000 and change. The ONLY thing that catches me attention; when I shift into gear I hear a THUNK.

Here in PA we have bi-annial (or is it annual?) inspections... so when its in for that I tell them to look over the car anyway.

Holy crap man, be careful your ride may explode at any time now!!!!
Kidding... Just reset it, takes about 30 seconds.
Before starting the car, hold down the select and reset button at the same time for 10 seconds.
Then while still holding them down, turn the ignition on but don't start the car.
Hold the buttons for another 10 seconds and let go.
Turn the ignition off. The light should stay off now.
