i had my car only for two month, got 900 miles on it... still in break-in period... the fastest I ever gone was on New Jersy Turnpike 2am in the morning, it was about 100mph... i love it, the engine rpm was about a little over 2400... chickened out because i didn't have a radar detector

normally i drive about 40-60 in the city locations.

Be careful on the NJ turnpike if you use easypass. They can clock your speed with the time stamp.

I NEVER SPEED.

I just have my V1 so I can monitor the local tax collectors.

Speed limits are for cars and drivers whose limits are easily exceeded.

60 - 80mph Freeway
80-100mph Freeway - w/dumbass ricer next lane

35 - 50mph Local (depending on traffic)

I just like to cruise in luxury. No need to gas it unless some dumb ass civic with a supra spoiler cuts me off.

5 to 15 over speed limit for local roads
My typical highway cruising speed is 75-80. However, depending on situations I will do anywhere from 65-85 and have been as high as 110 for only a few seconds.

Yes NYC had some commercial truck driver receive a ticket in the mail. He had to be speeding, the thruway authority said, because of the time stamped on his ticket to and fro. He sued and lost but only because he was commercial. So far they will not allow this time of bullspit with private vehicles. But that can change of course.

They are doing the EZ-Pass thing on some of the roads here in Pa.
There was a story in the local paper that said they couldn’t issue a speeding ticket because the clocks in the different ticket booths aren’t calibrated and run off the same timer.
If you took it to court they would have to dismiss the charges.
Just something to keep in mind if you get a ticket this way.
Supposedly this is the main reason that people are afraid to get the units for their car.

Don’t quote me on this; it’s just what I read in my local rag.

Yeah, I have the EZ-Pass unit for the PA turnpike since I'm on it every day. I haven't really worried that much about it. Besides, even if I'm able to do 80 part of the way I usually get slowed down at some point anyway.

I drive whatever 5mph slower than the fastest car is driving. I got my accord up to 130mph once. I was kinda scared so I don't think I'll be doing that again.

Please have a crane drop on my car so I have to buy a new CL-S. But wait till I'm not in the car. Thanks

Local... always 10 mph over speed except in 25mph zone.

Highway... always 15 or more over speed limit.

I have a letter from the director of the turnpike that disagrees with the story of EZPass being used to ticket speeders.
Here is the scan:

Btw, i havent posted here for a few months, but my account has been deleted i guess, and i now am starting at 1 post again (when i had over 100 before)
