Unhappy Automated Seats Stuck!!!

This maybe Noob of me but i'm stuck on a real dilemma.
At first the passenger seat got stuck to an upright position and won't recline back or forward any more, it still slides front to back but won't recline. Then JUST yesterday, my mom, 5'2 inches, drove my car and her being short that she is, put the seat all close to the steering wheel and had the seat inclined. Then this morning as i'm ready to leave for work, i sit in my baby, and try to recline the seat back, but won't. It too, like the passenger, won't recline back or up like the passenger seat. Checked the fuses and it seems to be fine.

Can someone please help me solve this problem!?!?!?!?!
Today was the most uncomfortable ride in my baby since i've had her.

Sounds like the motor's broken to me. If you're still under waranty, might want to give the dealership a call.

Thats happened to me a few times on the 2001 I used to have, damn wife goes and adjusts the seat all crazy, then it won't go back.
I used to take the plastic off the controls and put a screw driver tip on the grear teeth, then whack the back of the screw driver with a hammer to get the gears going again. I think its just a matter of the gear getting stuck. Then I got fed up the third time and just sat in the seat, pushed back with my back reeeeeally hard while using the controls to recline and it just got loose that way. Might feel like its gonna break, but it will work of you have the same problem as I had.

Hey Kunt (LMAO)....do what Rondy says, he is the one that gave me the idea of how to do it. Pop out the plastic tabs, remove the plastic moulding, put a flat head screw driver in between the gears under the cloth part. While holding the button to move seatback, put pressure upwards on the screwdriver and it will break the gears loose......Then slapp a lil' bit of oil on those puppies, and put it back together!

well in my experience, the same thing happen to my driver seat, it wouldnt recline back, what i did was remove the covering by the seat belt, and where the teeth are is i put a little bit of WD40 and oiled that bad boy up using a flat head, at the same time be hitting the switch thingy to move the chair forward and backwards, thats how i was able to fix mine, happened 3 months ago, and no problems till now, hope this helps

I had the same problem with my car and it was the power connectors underneath the seat. reach underneath and see if anything is loose. i wiggled some of the wires around and it fixed the problem

i recently experienced the same issue. Took it to the dealer and was covered under EXTENDED warranty without a problem. Very good people to deal with. Recommend Oakland Acura to everybody in the bay area.

Thanks Ron, I tried to get that seat to move but finally the old screwdriver and hammer technique was what got the seat moving again.
