"BPP 394+ HP package"

So what all is included in this? Is it heads/cam? I imagine you got an air box of some sort like a Vortex. Any exhaust work?

Not trying to call you out on not having these mods, just that I'm not familiar with the shorthand there

Better ask his neighbour or friend who actually owns it.

The BPP 394 hp package basically opens up the air coming in to the intake and deceives the computer a little bit. If you ever get a chance, look at the air filter on a vette. It is a big rectangular piece of plastic with round one inch diameter holes in each corner ( 4 total) that lies against a plastic shroud. This is how that monster of an engine breathes stock. Getting back to the package, it consists of the Vortex (which breathes cold air once you cut the shroud), a new MAF housing (which lets more air in), relocated MAT (to fool the computer), and a coupling between the MAF and the Vortex. It has nothing to do with the exhaust. These bolt on mod's put 332+ horsepower to my rear wheels in 80+ degree temps and no cold air rushing into my Vortex (We were in BPP's shop).

OK, BBP is a shop, I get it.

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with what you are talking about on the LS1, really a bad design stock. A buddy of mine did the lid mod (just the Vortex Box) and he pulled 329/329, which would convert up to the 385-395 range as well.

And I doubt that Shaka wants any piece of the C5. I'll run you in the 1/4, but I'd need to tree you by .5-6 or you'd be walking away on the big end...

With what? Some pictures he took with dated pieces of paper. That doesn't mean he owns jack! Big deal I can take some pictures of cars in a friend or neighbours garage with a piece of paper saying "fuck you wolf" that doesn't mean that I own them. You seem to talk about bikes a lot? I have a feeling you don't even own an Acura. The accord is probably your car.

Maybe he did do that..but that sure is a lot of cars..and he did fit them all in a garage...and if it is his neighbor...he lives in a pretty nice neighborhood and I wouldn't doubt that he could afford all that...
Just a thought.

Why waste your time? He's obviously an idiot, so just ignore him.

BTW, I'm too lazy to look it up, what's the tax rate for short term gains?

Short term gains are taxed at income rate....anything held over a year is taxed at capital gains...usually 20%...correct?

Ack! I hate paying 40% on tax. Californians should be entitled to tax breaks on rental property.

Yes. And if you are planning to sell a security right at a year for the rate advantage, keep in mind that you basically have to have it a year and a day. For a security bought today (8-14-01), you have to sell on or after (8--15-02) to qualify qualify as long term.
