75-80 dragway closed today (10/12). It is closed next saturday as well. Will try to go next sunday (10/20) if it's dry. Keep in touch if you guys or anyone else is interested. Nomad said you have some new stuff on your car and you're trying to get into the 13's. Can't wait to see the car and the run. I may talk to you about nitrous systems as well dustbuster. Later.

I'm definitely in for the 20th!!!!

This would be much better for me than trying to get to Capitol Raceway this coming Friday night.

I'll keep an eye on the weather (I'll even delay taking my car this week to the body shop to get the bumper fixed), and if it's good, I'm there!

sounds good, i'll be there too if the weather is good. We'll discusss the time when it gets closer. I've almost made up my mind on getting a NOS kit. Wanted to ask you a few things. How easy is the system to take out (for trunk use and warranty work) and can it be mounted elsewhere? Did you do yours yourself? Also, is the application any different with the AEM intake I have? I want to get a "zex" 75-shot with an automatic bottle opener and engaging switch. We can talk more in detail at the track. Just had a few prelim questions now.

Taking out the zex system is not too involved. You can have it out in 30 minutes, tops.

No difference with the AEM intake. But keep in mind that you'll need to drill a hole in your intake for the nozzle.

Looks like Sunday's weather will be good.

Are you sure the track will be open Sunday morning (and for how long)?

Hey guys, the track is open only on sundays and I plan to be there about 10:30 to 11 this sunday. The track opens at 10 and you can run all day until 5. It costs $20. PM me or email me if necessary. The weather looks great so far, 60's and sunny.

Cool!

I'll be there at 10:00!

I want to do a series of runs, some with nitrous for the 13-sec slip, and some w/o N2O (to see how the headers have increased ET and trap speed over stock).

I went out and bought a helmet today!

If I can't get it picked up by Saturday, the dude at Maryland Performance Center (who sponsors 75-80) will bring it Sunday morning!

see you both there! My roommate has a motorcycle helmet to use as a last resort if needed.
The pics link didn't work. I need to find out how I can put my pics on the web so people can see them.

we may be rained out tomorrow guys. I'll call seth (nomad) in the morning rick to let him know if the track will be open or not and he can get in touch with you. I'm at my work computer and don't have internet at home right now, otherwise I would email you. I'll call in the morning though to see, just don't want you to waste a trip.
I'll send the pics to you, and more when I get more done to the car. I need a digital!

I ran out of nitrous on that last run!!!! Otherwise, I would of had that 'Vette!! Damn, did I pull on him or what??????

Sorry that I didn't say good-bye. NOMAD: I knew you needed to get going, and 6speedS: I saw you get back in line, and I didn't want to run anymore.

It was good to hang with you all.

I definitely want to go back (if they're not closed for the season).

I'm only 6/100th of a second from breaking into the 13s.

I know I can get there with my Kumhos!

I should have NEVER put the stock tires back on!

rebeltruce: It was good to see you. Sorry that I didn't talk to you more. I lost track of 'ya.

It's all good, the last run I saw, you and 6SpeedS went head to head. I think you got him by 24/100th's? Or something like that, anyway it was great gettin out to the track again. If ya head up there again this year let me know.

Did ya all see that Stang almost flip over off the launch? Unbelievable!!!!

6speedS - I'll get this film developed and pass some pics on to you. Hope they turn out good. Nice to meet you and sorry I had to run. We'll do it again some time. Maybe I'll run too.

Rebeltruce - Hey man, sorry I didn't see you, I was all over the place taking pics since I wasn't running my car. I was standing ringt up against the fence by the light tree when that car got up in the air and sideways!! Whoa! OF ALL THINGS I DIDN"T HAVE MY CAMERA READY ON THAT RUN!!!! I'm kicking myself now. Also I didn't get a photo of the O.P.S. winner doing a 100' burnout!
Maybe I'll learn next time...

It was good to hang with you guys. I enjoyed myself. It was soo loud there that it was hard to carry a conversation for very long! Maybe next time we can plan on hitting a Starbucks or something to hang afterwards.

Peace all!

Had a blast at the track

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't see you before I left nomad and dustbuster. I ran one more time and at least got back into the 14's like I wanted with a 14.9. My best time was when I raced you dustbuster with a 14.5693. My last run, I ran with a new Camaro SS with some mods on it. I killed him off the line with .5491 vs. a .7330, but he caught me past 60ft and ran a 13.9 to my 14.9. Can't wait to see the pics.

Rebeltruce, I never got to meet you, but probably will soon. I'm not going out next week, but will Nov. 3 and my neighbor will probably come with his WRX.

I won't burnout anymore, I'm just eating my tread up. Can't wait to get the nitrous on for next season with some new wheels and tires! I'm going to be going for mid 13's. I will post my best time on another thread.
