I put my order the third week of February. So that's about nine weeks and counting...the only reason I'm still waiting is that I like the short ram option...

I will buy on ewhen i know the lag time is shorter. Why should I pay nearly $200 and then sit on my hands for 2 months.. that 200 can go towards a bill, or some other thing for my bike or car.
Xephyr, when your lag time is under 6 weeks, notify all of us. I will buy then. Unless you want to put me down on paper on the waiting list now. I WILL pay before you ship, but not 2+ months before. I have the money whenever, but time value of money says it is not going into your pocket so i can wait 2+ months. I am interested in the Red...

haha i ordered one in feb too.. and chirs said ok if i do COD... but i waited for 1 month.. then i couldnt wait anymore, so i just went somewhere else near me and bought a blue AEM CAI for 210 but it has no bypassvalve tho. U KNOW WHAT THO, i still havent seen any UPS guy around me ever since i ordered it...if i WILL ever receive it someday, i will just sell it to my friend or osmething.
if most of you guys ordered back in feb and still havent gotten it, i'd imagine (i'd hope) Xephyr will soon replenish his supply. The first group of people got theirs mid-late Feburary, and Xephyr probably ran out of supply then.
Better yet, maybe Xephyr is developing the new and improved version of the CAI, and we can be the first ones to enjoy it

All I can say is that he was working on "a batch of 40 intakes" 2 weekends ago -- ready for shipment last Easter Monday. Based on that, I had placed my order.
I had best not be kept waiting 9 weeks

Hey Guys,
All I can say is that I ordered my AEM from Tim @ Autocarparts.com last Monday and it arrived Thusrsday. Tim is in FL and I am in CA. It went on Saturday afternoon and it rocks! I was not interested in the by pass valve, but it is available if you want one. Yes, you can save some money going with the other intake, but how much money is your waiting time worth?

Seriously we have heard the whole "I ordered the AEM CAI from..." hundreds of times. We get it. Tim is very reliable for his AEM CAIs. However, cost is not the only reason people go with Xephyr. The Short Ram setup is one other reason, and the Hydro-Lock Bypass Valve is another.
So thanks for telling us that you got your AEM CAI but the problem here is with the Xephyr CAI @ Xephyr.com not AEM CAI @ Autoparts.com

P.S. - I think Chris is developing the carbon fiber CAI right now

i am not saying AEM is doing anything less, but based on the opinions from the members here and the numbers i've seen, i went with xephyr.

Here is Chris' response in another thread....
As a few of us have said....have faith.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">BTW: All outstanding orders will be shipped this weekend. I erroneously prepaid shipping labels for boxes 14x14x20 @ 4lbs when they were 14x14x14 @ 5lbs .... I am on vacation in L.B.I. N.J. through thurs. Inventory is plentiful and not an issue. - I apologize for the delay ...-All will be rectified ASAP.
FYI - PARK AVE ACURA IS NOW AN AUTHORIZED DISTTRIBUTOR.... Local Customers contact them for pricing and installation ! Approx. $200.00 + installation (Pricing on XephyrPerformance.com will be adjusted Monday April 30th for all new orders)
P.S. - The "homo" comments are juvenile and uncalled for regarding me personally.... Those of you that know me ... know how far off base that is.... When you see reps or owners of AEM or Injen driving 120+ miles to do installations for less then $400 Net Profit for 6 CAI's on a significantly finite market compared to M.B. + B.M.W. then I'll entertain immature bashing without an unprofessional recourse ...... My profit margin on the line for the Type S is as slim as the wit of comments some members show.... I do not generalize or stereotype ... They know who they are... and honestly give me more reason to pull the LEAST profitable model line from my retail sales line (I understand the valid concerns of customers that know my operation and follow my progress.... I do not however pay significant concern to bitter members that chose another vendor that offered a speedy turnaround for a lesser and overpriced product) ........
One man + business phone + cellular forwarding off hours + free powder coating + free meet installation for minimal purchase quantities = Xephyr Performance,L.L.C. (Obviously not in the Type S market for the money ... As it represents <25% of sales ) I stand behind my products 100% and maintain this model product line .... in light of all the aforementioned ..... draw your own conclusions.
***** I thank all of my supporters whole heartedly *****
