^ finally got a hold of the guy and he said order the bumper and his goint to fix up my hood too.
I don't imagine he is goint to get crazy and fix every little imperfection but, the whole car is getting resprayed this time.
Lets hope he lays the flakes on thick and I don't get it back looking like metallics in my paint.

The dam instructor for the saturday welding class I was going to start tommorow died.
So there is no saturday classes. You got to be F'n kidding me.
getting a refund comming threw a check could take a couple weeks.
Helmet and gloves ordered from ebay so I either send back and lose on shipping or I lose money and keep.
Either way I lose and it is bs.
bumper ordered thanks P diddy

They just sent me a email saying they need to adjust the shipping another $85 more.
I'm about to freakout.
cuz they are saying there going to hold the order till I respond.
If they don't respond today then what.I won't even be able to talk to them till monday ?
So far I say I don't like this company.
We will see.
If it ends up a bad deal ,you know I will make them look bad.

I did, and it ended up with them saying they were going to call the police on me because they started talking to me stupid and I start swearing a back.
They will not stand behind it at all and say they could adjust shipping for size and weight.
I need to talk to someone higher in charge, other than a parts person but don't know who.
Anyone have a #.

You went from a few tiny scuffs from an attempted break-in to painting the entire car?

IMO, screw the bumper, just get the rest painted and deal with the bumper another time.

Or try your luck with scrapyards, maybe there's a totaled 2G that you can snag a front bumper from. But chances are slim to none.

I dont really blame the dealer. The shipping quotes they have online are limited to a 36" long box. The bumper is much longer then 36".

Find a LOCAL dealer and have them price match or come down a respectable amount.

Hopefully the aftermarket bumper doesnt give you any problems.

Luckily for me, MagAuto is near me and I get all my parts from them. I pay tax but its still quicker and cheaper.

Manthis bumper has been hell.
2nd place I ordered it from friday never contacted me at all and never charged my card.
They would not return emails or phone calls.
Today made a hour ride to pick one up.And when I got back from dropping off the bumper my card was finnally charged .
3rd place was a charm.
Now I need to deal with a dispute.
My car is getting every thing except the center strip on the roof painted and hood fixed for $300 + 250 deductible + 250 on new bumper.
So $800 to paint my car is great as long as it looks good.

This place is crazy.
http://www.partsultimate.com/index.p...duct_id=133661
they just sent me the bumper and finally charge my card.
I still can't contact them.
My CC say's they cant do anything till I send it back.
And his site says this.

Cancelled Orders:

Customer must call and speak to a customer service representative to cancel order(s), email cancellations are not accepted. Once the orders are cancelled, customer must receive a cancellation number and a notification of order cancellation.
Cancelled orders may incur charges if the item(s) has not shipped. If the item(s) have already been shipped then it will incur charges as stated in the Returns terms and conditions mentioned above.

No one ever anwsers the phone, even with messages left everyday I got no return calls.

Now,under their return's say this:

Returns:

No returns will not be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorization number issued by Parts Ultimate Pictures of the product(s) maybe required to issue a RMA. A 35% restocking fee plus all shipping charges will be billed on any returned items, after being inspected by our staff upon their return to our warehouse. All products returned for credit must be in the original manufacturer container and never used. All special orders require full payment in advance, and there is are no returns on specially ordered items. Any returns arriving at our warehouse without an RMA number will be refused and returned to the sending address collect freight. The original Buyer is the only person that may request a return for products.

Defective items will only be replaced, not refunded.

All refused orders will be charged 50%, of the invoice amount, restocking fee plus all freight charges to return the item to our warehouse.

This basically saying they are going to charge me 85%+ of my money to take it back.
I was unable to contact them in anyway and I think they reeled me in with no possible way out.
If I was able to talk to some one anyway I'm sure it would've been fine.
Now I think the front bumper is going to be like I paid 500 for it.
I can't f'n win.
Any one want to lock down a sale on a bumper before it get's here ?

now check this out.
After I had the bumper for 3 days the seller finally contacted me for the first time saying he was going to call the police on me because I have his bumper and his money.
So I call my CC and they said they took the money out of his account even thou when going threw this they told me there was nothing they could do about this then.
Everything would have been all good if I knew about this in advance.
They said are you going to return their stuff.
They also said if I want to return it the sale would have to go by their return policy.
So I was stuck anyway.
I told them to return his money, then I ended up leaving a ignorant message since he still would not answer the phone.
Even thou I now had a 3rd number that was some kind of google phone number.
first call I got when his money was taking and not before.
Totally bad seller and highly advise to stay away.

On a good note the car was to be painted today and should be finished up tommorow. Well see, a body shops day, usally ends up 3.

That seems like a typical return/exchange policy from what I have seen and dealt with online. Also for items sent damaged or defective etc., places I have dealt with before use a policy that you have to inform them of the defect or damage within 48 hours of the package being dropped at your door.

35% is a little high most restocking fees are 25% tho.

It was going to cost me 85% of 233 +$85 to ship back.
Ups guy was driving downthe street before I had a chance to even talk with him.
So their was no chance on even refusing the package and saving the $85.
I did not do the math but 85% of 233 + 85 seams like a loss.
And brian There was no way to contact the seller till he contacted me almost 3 weeks later.
All that is said and done now.
Bumper is still boxed just sitting.
Dying to see the new paint.

I must not have read fully. I can see how shipping a bumper twice could cost more than the bumper is worth tho.

Seeing the pictures of the damage reminded me of that scene in the movie.

I like the part about where it would almost be worth getting your car damaged if you could only catch them doing it.

Sorry you are going through so much shit.
Good luck!

He says it's all done,They just need to put it back together and I will be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Update.
Decided to pull the rear quarter glass and all the trims around all side windows.
Since their was some over spray from the last paint job.
Cleaned up the pieces and gave the guy back the last pieces today.
Figured if I was going to paint the car again might aswell take the extra time to make it look as nice I could without pulling front and rear windows.
This way no over sprayed trims and paint edges will be tucked.
I also had the rockers taken off and resprayed so Their wont be over spray getting blown into the door jambs.
Windsheild trim was taped back the rear window trim might be the only place that might need some thinner.
Supposedly I will have the car by the end of the day.

I'm a little crazy when it comes to the car.
The $250 dectible just turned into Another $1250 dump to get my paint up to par again.

That's pretty cool on the price match. Never really considering asking for it but makes sense.

And priorities are pretty f*n important so I hope it all goes well.
