Assumption about CL transmissions ?!
Can we assume for those people whose tranny works fine after 15-20K miles that they will probably not have any problems in future with tranny?
I think defective transmissions fail before person drives 20K miles.
if you pass 20K miles it is likely that your tranny has no deffects???

Looks like in the majority of the cases after you go above 20K, chances are very small.... there are very few people who had their trannies replaced after 20K

One thing that I have noticed is that these transmissions take a long time to switch from forward to reverse gears. One thing I ALWAYS make sure to do is, when backing up stop completely and you will feel it engage into drive. If you don't you will be sure to see a burnt up tranny on no time at all.

I notice the same thing, Dynmicracer. I ALWAYS wait for the gear to engage before gassing it. Most autos I've ever driven are like that, but it seems the CL-S is especially slow to engage into both D and Reverse.
