Is there a ashtray light on the 2002 CL ? Mine doesn't light up.
I had a 2003 TL loaner, and it lit up.

 

You have to buy the smokers package. That kit has a light.

 

Damn... so is there a part number for JUST the light?

all you have to do is ground the solid red wire that goes to the light...the red with black stripe is 12 Volt.

 

lou, I would love to wire it...

the light comes with a green condom on it to dim the light a bit which I took off and makes it brighter

nighthawk the wires are already there disassemble the bottom portion of the dash and take off the piece around the shifter....then you will see the 2 wires on top that go to the light that lights up the ashtray....the 12 volt is already there all you have to do is ground the solid red wire and the ashtray will light up when you put you headlights on


this is without the green condom on the little light bulb.

your main concern is getting part #18 out so you can work in back of it...in other words you dont have to take out the radio. You will have to take out the bowling ball trim and the side panels. Then you have to unscrew the armrest and just pull it back so you can pull out part #18

I looked under there before i go hunting for the wire. It doesn't look like there's a light there. On the top there is just some grooves that are indented, is the light in there?
