By the way- the first picture is my driveway with the Accord and CLS on it, with the vette and X5 in the garage. On the rear window of the X5 is a printout from yahoo finance which shows you todays date and yesterdays close of the financial markets. The second picture is a close up of the yahoo page and the X5's rear wiper.

That's all I was thinking about as I parked last night. I got the recall notice last week but haven't had time to bring it in. The fan stays on for a real long time after I kill the motor.

I think WildWolf points way go out and buy a 30,000 sport/lux car and turn around and drop another 5-10,000 in to it and race it. For that 35-40,000 you can get an American Muscle car like the Camro SS, Pontiac Firehawk, or A Vette.

1) Most American muscle cars don't cost $35-40K. F-bodies are less, Vettes are more.
2) Maybe some people don't WANT a muscle car
3) Why does anyone care what other people do to their cars?? Why even bother thinking about it?

What is with this "CL-S is not a race car, or track car, or drag car, etc" crap? (not talking specifically to you, Kickaz) I mean... what the hell is that all about anyways? Does anyone really think that some members of this board think they're going to dominate on the track with a CL-S? This is a CL board. You're going to find very high opinions on the CL here. I don't understand why some people can't deal with that???? So what if people mod this car and try to make it something it's not. Just this afternoon I was watching Hot Rod TV on Speedvision and there was a freakin' Dodge Avenger pulling 8's, yes 8's in the 1/4 mile. So, I guess the guy who put that much money into an Avenger is a dumbass too, huh?

People just need to freakin' relax. People talk sh!t on a message board, especially in a kill stories forum. Why is that such a surprise?

 

I understand what your saying and your right, who cares if someone whats to mod a CL for the track, I dont. I personally would much rather have a TransAm, but I dont have a choice about because this is want my parents got me, 3.0 CL. Don't get wrong I love my car, but I also love the style and power of the TransAm. I am sure some people will disagree with me and thats fine. Its all a matter of personal preference.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else but I never questioned his ownership of those cars. Frankly, I could give a frog's fat ass if he owns Florida!

First, only those with their heads FIRMLY planted up their ass speak of themselves in 3rd person. Second, I don't think anyone has ever said the goddamn CLS is a race car.

No i like this thread. autox-CL-er, when did he say the cls was a race car? He came to this board to learn about the CLS, and then everyone thought he was jus some bsing kid. So he had to prove you wrong and he did. He's not being arrogant or anything else like that, you've gotta chill. The guy's rich enough i doubt he came to this board to get attention and such.

 

Neither I nor Wolf ever did state that the CLS is a race car. Someone else apparently did, so he was debunking the thought that it WAS a Race car. I just took advantage of the absurdity of the CLS being thought of as a race car by anyone. It's about 1000-1500 lbs heavier than any race car I've heard of! Don't get me wrong - I have a CLS and love it! Wouldn't trade it for anything in the $$$$ range! (except MAYBE a TLS). Also, if you go back to his original post ( http://www.acura-cl.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=3&t=000243 ), note that I never even replied in that thread - so I was never considered a doubter.

He's been a posting member of this board for about 2-3 months longer than I have. Looking back on his posts, as a matter of fact, I can't find anyone who argued with him about a CL being a race car - but yet he brought it up in the same sort of inflammatory fashion that he has delt with any questions raised towards him. He's a proud member of the "I can post stuff that pisses people off so I can get attention" club.

This rediculous (myself guilty as well...) argument that was started by a jest on my part about the city he choses to live in. Florida natives know that Boca has long been jested as the "valley girl" capitol of the sunshine state. If Wolf can't take a joke, then so be it.
