Don't get me wrong - I have a CLS and love it! Wouldn't trade it for anything in the $$$$ range! (except MAYBE a TLS). Also, if you go back to his original post ( http://www.acura-cl.com/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=3&t=000243 ), note that I never even replied in that thread - so I was never considered a doubter.
He's been a posting member of this board for about 2-3 months longer than I have. Looking back on his posts, as a matter of fact, I can't find anyone who argued with him about a CL being a race car - but yet he brought it up in the same sort of inflammatory fashion that he has delt with any questions raised towards him. He's a proud member of the "I can post stuff that pisses people off so I can get attention" club.
This rediculous (myself guilty as well...) argument that was started by a jest on my part about the city he choses to live in. Florida natives know that Boca has long been jested as the "valley girl" capitol of the sunshine state. If Wolf can't take a joke, then so be it.
I too have been guilty of getting caught up in an immature bitch fest. My apologies to the other members for filling your screens with crap - I just really abhore arrogance and ignorance.

autox-CL-er, when did he say the cls was a race car? He came to this board to learn about the CLS, and then everyone thought he was jus some bsing kid. So he had to prove you wrong and he did. He's not being arrogant or anything else like that, you've gotta chill. The guy's rich enough i doubt he came to this board to get attention and such.</STRONG>

I got an idea how you can prove it to these guys. Drive your cars right up that one guys rear-end! That one loser who just responded about that not being proof is just wanting to start more flame wars.

A $350K house/property in New York would cost about $100K for the comparable place in Florida.
Trust me, I own houses in both states.

Do own houses in any other states? Whats your occupation?
Are you kidding? 50k a year - that's about 38k after taxes - $1500 twice a month. Average rental price in Orlando, at least, $800. Our car payment: $500 (depending on miles, length of term, etc). Gas per week: $25. Food per week: $80. Insurance: $100 per month. "Play money": $400 per month. That leaves $480 for anything else - including debt, etc. I wouldn't consider an apartment living like a king.
As to the house prices - have you ever SEEN the prices in South Florida??? They are OUTRAGEOUS! In Orlando, I have a 1702 sq foot house that I got for $108,500 and that's not in a "good" neighborhood! I have friends who live a mile away in a better-known area that paid $200k for 2400 sq (3 bed, 2 bath) feet. A mortgage on a 200k house for 30 years with 10% down at 7.2% is $1234 just for principle and interest. Add taxes and hazard insurance, HOA dues, etc and you're looking at $1,500-$1,600 or more a month. That's one paycheck! Now, if you are married and you both make 50k, that's a different story alltogether.
In Boca, from what I've heard, housing prices are rediculous. Looking at realtor.com, I saw 3.2/2000Sq foot houses for between $120k (slum) and $250k.
Granted, our standard of living is MUCH lower than places in the NE and West Coast, but I hardly think that 50k a year would get you a castle.

Hey, if you add the cost of a house in New York + cost of a house in Florida you get a small house in the Bay Area! People make close to 100k / year and still don't have a house...you all are lucky!

People are picky as to where they live...and rightfully so for how much you have to spend...but if you wanted a home in the Bay Area...you can get an okay sized home in an okay neighborhood for about 250K...which over 30 years isn't as much as you think.
Hmmm, I don't know if you've been house searching lately...do a search on www.mlslistings.com for anything under 275k. You'll find 4 houses (either 1 bedroom, 1 bath or 2 bed 1 bath, under 1000 sq feet).
In south bay, there's about 12, some in gilroy, morgan hill, all about 600-900 sq ft.
If you've bought a decent sized house for 250k, that was probably 2 years ago.
Unless of course you want to live in East Palo Alto, Oakland, or something, and even then, those prices are going up.

Where can I get a 250k home in the Bay Area? I'm sick of paying $1500 a month to rent a freaking place and have nothing to show for it.
i love how these threads develop first we were yelling at wolf next its about jobs, now its about real estate. I live in the upper east side of manhatten a closet in this area cost $2000 a month, and on the island for 250k you get a house with a one car garage on a main road.

there are plenty of places...you just have to look...my suggestion is to move to a ghetto neighborhood where Chinese people have taken root...they buy the houses cheap...make them nice..because most of them are carpenters...and then slowly more and more Asian folk move there...and the property values go up...
