A'pexi catback with comptech mufflers?

Right now, I have a full a'pexi catback system.

This is what it looks like:

I'm thinking about going over to comptech axlebacks with stock piping... but was wondering if it's possible to weld the mufflers right onto the a'pexi midpipe. I know some people have a hybrid Greddy mid/HKS muffler set up...

Here are the stats for the A'pexi's...
Acura CL 2001 - Up 104-KH23 $559.20
Trim: V6 Specs: APEXi WS World Sport Catback PIPING DIAMETER (mm): 60mm and TIP DIAMETER (mm): 100mm

if i remember correctly from installing this past weekend, the B or Y-pipe is different than the stock one which is the one that the comptechs usually go on since they are axle backs. i think you would possibly need custom piping to make it work perfectly or just a muffler shop to weld on or cut the apexi pipe to fit the comptechs correctly. this is just my thoughts, but get another answer because i am not positive. good luck!

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but just looking for a bit more insight I suppose.

I guess my concern is, would the CT axlebacks fit up to the a'pexi Y pipe. They're supposed to be made for the (assumed) smaller diameter piping for the stock Y pipe... or does anyone know if the cut outs are of similar size? Or whether muffler shops can make custom extensions that connect a slightly larger pipe to a smaller pipe.

Any help would be appreciated. Thx ya'll.

The comptechs will not fit w/the apexi b pipe. you will need a muffler shop to make a custom pipe to extend to the comptechs because the comptechs will not reach the bpipe. good luck.

I like the way the Apexi's look on your car. Take a pic from the rear. Why do you want to change them?

The Apex'i's are too large of a diameter. Just my opinion.

Is that opinion on the look? Or is that on the fitment up to the comptech mufflers?
