Anyone wanna trade interior pieces???
I have an 02 CL with the regular wood looking interior trim pieces. I want to either get the 03 stainless steal pieces or get the dark marble looking pieces. If anyone wants to either sell them or trade them please let me know. My pieces are in 100%, as my car only has 27k miles on it. Let me know my email is Mike18228@optonline.net
Thanks!!

The door and quater pieces don't just pop off like the center console does just in case you don't already know that. You basically have to break them off and then reattach them somehow. I did it with a dremel and epoxy when I painted mine. It's really not very hard to do. you'll probably be hard pressed to find someone to trade with you honestly. Most of us like that silver and rarely does someone want to part with it.
Do you have ebony or parchment int? I'm going to assume it's parchment since you say it's the "regular" wood looking pieces. I painted mine with a Dupont color I purchased at Checker auto parts. The color is called "Ultra Silver". IMHO, it's the perfect color for that. Here's pics of my old CL after it was done...
Stealth CL did his old CL too but he had ebony interior. He used the exact same color I did. Looks pretty good. Here's his...
Good luck with it. Let me know if you have any questions about removing and re-attaching them.

Yeah well i have the ebony interior and i hate the wood look. And i know they aren't actually steel....they just have the metal look to them which i like...how did you go about painting them? And also i heard if you pop off the door panel, you can take the trim pieces off? let me know please cause i wanna get rid of this wood.

Well, you have to remove the door panels and int. quater panels from inside the car completely.
Then you have to break the plasic clips holding them on the back side. I used a dremel to file them down until they came apart. Some have used an exacto knife to cut them apart I believe.
Once they are all off, then you can scuff them up with a light sand paper, clean them off, and spray them with primer. I used a white filler primer instead of the usual gray mainly because I wanted to try and bring out the silver as much as possible. Once that dried, I shot them about 3 times with the Dupont Ultra Silver paint.
After it was all dry, I re-attached them using a quick setting epoxy (5mins). They fit right back together where I broke them apart and I just filled the area with the epoxy.
Once the epoxy sets and dries, you can re-install the panels in the car.
Although it's pretty easy, it is time consuming having to wait for the paint to dry. I did my doors and rear quaters at different times and both times, I was driving around with missing interior panels waiting for the pain to dry.

Mike, I hear ya. I had a white 03 CLS 6MT with tan interior and the fake wood trim. I decided to get a another 6MT CLS, so now I have the anthracite, with black interior with silver trim. I added a real brushed aluminum dash kit. If you're going silver might as well go all the way!
