All Mine,

I was about the flame the hell out of you until i read further down in that thread

There is basically not a honda on the market that will pull a LS1 Fbody stock to stock.

The NSX would come close, but only from a roll would it stand a decent chance.

And no, the s2000's are not as fast as an LS1 fbody at all.

a new NSX will beat a LS1 F body stock vs Stock

average LS1 runs mid high 13 the newer NSX's tap a low 13 / 13 flat

Properly driven stock LS1's actually run low 13s, with some exceptional drivers nailing 12.999.

very very very very unlikely ... those are STi / C5 times the F body was fast but all this stuff i hear about them tapping LOW 13 flat high 12 stock i dont see it happening stock, thats like saying the 3.0 has a chance to run a 15 flat stock aint happening

Not suprised of your reply, since 99% of the members here don't believe me.

That's right, those are C5 times. Guess why? Fbodies dyno higher rwhp due to their solid rear axle suspension, whereas C5's dyno lower due to the IRS suspension. Why do they still run the same 1/4 mile then? Because the C5 weights ~400lbs less.

I'm sure one helping factor allowing stock LS1's to hit low 13s / high 12s is some better tires like Nitto 555R's. Wether or not you still consider the car stock at that point, is a matter of opinion.

I've owned a mid/high 13sec all-motor CRX and a stock Z28 LS1. The LS1 was light years faster, hands down.

It all depends on the drive, the track and the car. Yes, some have gone as quick as 12.90's bone stock on street tires -- then again, get a bad track, bad driver and a car that hasn't been taken care of high 13's and low 14's are not out of the question.

I don't know you, so I'm not going to call BS or anything, but...

I remember when Scott Settlemire (if you're an LS1 guy, you should know who this is) ran 12.9x in a BONE STOCK Camaro SS 6-speed, it was a HUGE deal for the F-body community. Why? Because it went to show that the F-body was indeed capable of hitting 12's if properly driven.

I used to spend a lot of time on LS1.com until it all went to shit, and now I'm on the new one. I came very very close to signing the papers on a new '02 WS6 6-speed in the summer of '01 and I'm still a big fan of the LS1 F-body

You make it sound like high 12's is a regular occurrence. I must disagree.

Got into an accident the morning of the day I was supposed to go sign. Insurance went up, and I got my license suspended for a month. WS6.
