Anyone Interested in host OBX Strut bar Pics...?

It looks pretty, but like the Cusco (spelling) bar I don’t care for the design.
There’s too much hardware between the horizontal bar and the mounting point.
The horizontal forces are traveling through that nice wide bar and then through that tiny threaded rod.
Then a 90% turn through another bolt and then through that thin plate and then finally to the mounting flange.
WAY too many transitions and too much hardware to work loose over time.
The Neuspeed bar is ONE SOLID WELDED piece with nothing to work loose.
A much better design.

To bad that 90% of the strut bars made today are made THAT EXACT way as the OBX. Personally that is very good quality. Stillen is like Comptech but for Nissan. They make the bar the same exact way. But it costs 250 bucks.
So its a proven design.

shawn, you may be a mechanical engineer but your assumptions are plain wrong.
you cannot say the neuspeed bar is a better design without any data.
most of the higher quality bars (ie cusco) use a design like this. even comptech (who we know only does it right) is using a design like this for their new shit.

For now, I do not know if the stock bar needs to be removed. This strut bar is designed for 98+ Accord.
From the way it is designed, The end link plates:
1) Are free to move up and down with respect to the main bar
2) Are free to rotate along the main axe of the main bar
This means the following, you lose the holding horizoal coaxical nuts, u twist the main bar clockwise to make the main bar shorter or counter clockwise to make it longer once the right length is achiecved, u can tighten the horizontal coaxical nuts to keep it in place. Next, u would tighten the pins' nuts...
The end result is that the horizontal distance between the endlinks are kept the same, althought the plates are free to move up and down and rotate.....
I think it would bolt Okay...the stock bolts are not touched the OBX Strut bar would be bolt on the rear 3 bolts...
