Anyone here from Calgary?

Anyone here from Calgary?
Just wondering if anyone here is from Calgary, or perhaps Alberta?
I'm probably moving there soon!
And that means a mint-condition, 25K-mile ABP CLS-6 will appear in the Auto Trader shortly thereafter!

Not far away in Edmonton. Same ride and same color as you ( with a couple of mods). Why are you selling your CLS-6?
Let me knwo when you are moved... I am often in cow town and could hook up with you for coffee and CL chat.
BTW, that's a great time for a virtually stock 6 speed!

Thats a nice upgrade... summer car only? Not sure how well it would do in Alberta winters. I know someone who may be interested... he used to have a georgeous red CLS and unfortunately wrote it off. He has often lusted after my 6 speed. Calgary is a tough town to sell used cars in... very ego conscious and everyone want's bragging rights on a new car.

Yeah summer car only of course. Don't see myself taking a Z06 to the ski hills lol.
I'll let you know if I do end up moving there, and maybe your buddy will still be interested.
Too bad it's tough to sell used cars in Calgary... on top of that, the average person wouldn't want a manual CL, but for the right buyer, a mint condition one should be easy to sell due to low market availability.

Don't welcome me just yet, I am still in Ottawa for now.
I will be in Calgary at the end of this upcoming week however, for 4 days. It will be my first time there so I'm anxious to see what it's like.
If all goes well with my potential employer, I'll be moving in January

Bad part for you is that:
1. Non-navi.
2. You'd have to pay 24K USD to buy it off me, cause these cars are fetching about 28K CAD over here.

And... it is too bad that you are contemplating a move in January... definately the shittiest month of the year. Although... being from OW you are probably used to the snow and cold

Hmm... I've seen some CLS-6's going for 28K with double my mileage.
I know about the warranty thing. By the time I sell it however, my car's 3 years would be over, or almost over anyway.
If I sold it to someone in the US, I'd only be able to get 20K for it, which means 23K CAD... and I can surely sell it for more in Canada, even without warranty.
And yeah, snow and cold is the norm around here... but as a skier, I don't mind it!

Low mileage is a bonus and you may get your price... just don't be in a rush... and I would not mention your great track times
Calgary is really great for access to skiing. Rather than go to the local resorts (Sunshine, Louise) I suggest you try Panorama. It is a little further to drive, but a great ski hill with a verticlal drop and ski area far larger than most resorts.

How is your tranny holding up? mine went just after the 100K major service. Never felt good about the car after that and since I am on the highway a lot, did not want a repeat performance. If you get a chance you should consider a 6 speed (and no he is not paying me to say this)
It is a totally different car. I had I/H/E/UD on my auto and the stock 6 speed felt faster.

As for track times, everyone on here knows I took it to the track, and it's not something I would deny. Went to the track twice, knocked a great time, and that was it!
Thanks for the skiing tips!
