Anyone ever run 104 octane race gas? If so question

I put 3 gallons in mixed with my 93. Every since I did that, still on the tank which is almost empty, the car is idling a little rough. Any ideas why? I hope it goes away after 93 is back in solid....

Thanks.

I believe anything over 100 contains lead.

anything over 100 contains lead? I've never heard of this before... can someone tell me more? maybe a link? I thought unleaded means unleaded

running over 93 is a waste of money UNLESS you're putting a lot of nitrous or boosting a lot of pressure in there...

This might be insightful. Higher octane will not do anything for you unless you also find a way to get the engine to do a higher compression.

There is unleaded gas up to 103... I used a galon of this stuff at the track and I just waste my $5.5!

Check the Unlead Gas here NED racing fuel supplier : http://www.vpracingfuels.com/index2....D8025E5F4AB211

There is 117 octane that is unleaded, so no, not everything over 100 is leaded.

Man 117 smells so good compared to regular burnt gas smell. Like on a car without a cat you get the pure smell. It even smells fast.

lol!

Anyways guys, I drove this morning and car drove normal. I think the AC makes the idle a little rough. I didn't use the AC this morning.

High Octane unleaded vs. leaded

The 104 octane 'unleaded' gas should cause no harm.... the motor's knock-sensor will in fact advance the timing (or I should really say, retard significantly less) and you will notice a power increase. 'Leaded' gas has a slightly detrimental effect on the catalytic convertor and the fuel-injectors (leaves deposits).
