Can other '03 owners verify this?

When I have the A/C on and it's blowing from the front vents only....if you switch to the front vents + legs, the front center still blows pretty good.

Now, if you blow from feet only (or feet + defog), and then switch it quickly to front vents + feet.....the front center blows very weak. If you then switch from the vents + feet to front vents only, a loud click is heard and then it blows pretty good from the front vents.

I guess I have two problems (not sure if it's normal or not), but no matter what path you use to get to the front vents + legs mode, it should feel the same.

Acura of Tempe service advisor states that my A/C is working normal and the loud click is normal (vent doors moving). He also said that different combinations will leave the front vent + legs mode feeling a little different.

I think he's wrong and doesn't know what he's talking about and he didn't want to waste his time on me. What do you all think?

 

Yep, it's the vent doors moving... Same thing happens on my 03...

I don't notice it much, as I usually have the AC set the same way all summer long... (or run it in full auto mode).

 

I can't help you. I only use the front vents, & the auto mode. It sounds normal to me. Makes sense what the service guy said.

 

unless it is a squeeking, or loud banging sound, It is normal. I run full auto on mine most of the time and it makes a little noise sometimes if i turn the radio off and listen very hard. Mind you this is every once in a blue moon.
