if you decide to do that get used to the car jumping everytime you tap the gas pedal.

i think that the slack is there for Safety reasons....you don't wanna rear end someone in traffic just cause you forgot about the lack of slack in the cable.....

I was backing out my sister's new V4 solara, (don't start flaming on the car, it's my sisters car), and the pedal is really sensitive, more sensitive then my TL-S.

I don't see anything with adj. the throttle cable...i would do it if i wanted a quicker response...but i drive mostly on sidestreet so i don't really need to

I tighten my throttle every 3 or 4 months. There is NO harm in doing so.....

how would this be done on the 6spd?

Also is it possible to tighten the clutch...mine just doesnt seem to be as grabby as it used to be when I first got it (I might just be used to it now tho)

my AV6 cable was tightened a while ago, i think i have to redo it now cuz the slack seems to have reappeared...unless you're some 300lb monster who cant control his own feet, I don't think you'll be rear-ending anyone...

Go buy a throttle rotor....be warned tho, cuz you are creating more stress on your throttle cable, it is more likely to snap.

My understanding was the clutch was self adjusting. Read something about it in the literature. :P

If you're talking about the throttle cable, it's quite simple.

1. Look for the Throttle Body of the engine. There are 2 lines/cables going into the engine. Loosen the engine cover to reveal the cables.

2. There are 2 nuts holding each cable. One nut on either side of the cable.

3. Loosen one side and tighten the other to take up the slack of the cables. Don't overdo it, or else you'll have a high reving engine at idle .

Verdict: Slightly better response at partial throttle. I believe the full benefit may be achieved at WOT. The theory here is that with a loose throttle cable, the TB butterfly valves can't open completely during WOT (ie: horizontal), thus impeding maximum air flow to the engine.

The clutch is self-adjusting, so it's probably the fact that you've gotten used to it. When I first got mine, it seemed very soft in comparison to my previous car (97 Prelude SH 5MT). Now, it's just....normal, I guess. It seems like it "should" be. I think it's just getting used to the clutch.

Besides, I think it's hydraulic. There's no cable to tighten.

Well gather up some mojo (but watch for cross-mojonation :P) and tighten it....then let us know your thoughts on the difference with the 6spd

Ok I must have just gotten used to the clutch....thats good.
