Another wheel ?--Love these but.........

OK you guys have shown the "older guy" true good taste. 17" rims are too small!! So I went to gmpperformance.com and spotted these Zenetti's that I like for my PDG. Question is are these 18" X 8" going to be ok with 225/45 tires?? Don't want alignment screwed up or rubbing. Could go with 17" but........like the bigger rims much more.

FYI. Our last meet had a TL with Comptech's and he was running 18x8 w/ 225/45/18. He says he has no problems.. even with 4 people in the car.
He also smoked me in the twisties..... big time

The pic your posted is not the same as the ones on the red CL. I believe the Ones on the red CL are The Zenetti VEGA's. The pic you posted are the Zenetti MATRIX. Even though they look nice on my friends Eclipse, they are not the VEGA's. Just thought you owuld like to know.

Zenetti calls them "Valeo"....hope they aren't 3 piece as I had 3 pc. Gotti's on a Porsche 944 and could never get them balanced right.

If I remember correctly... he heard a big clunk... pulled over... and saw that one (or a couple) of the spokes had broken.

I almost bought a set of those in 17" without the chrome. I saw the "silver" ones at a local shop.

The thought of them comming apart is scary. Our car has a lot of weight on the front of the car.

I guess I'm an old guy -- I wan't some RHart or Volks SE-37Ks in 17x7.5...

Has anybody busted any Volks SE-37s or Racing Harts?

The rims look nice, but did he hit a bump or something to make them come apart or did they just come apart from running on normal smooth roadway? How long where the rims on before they came apart?
