Pulled out from my apartment tonight around 6:30. The V1 alerted K band right away. Thought it was odd because it wasn't my usual false alarm that I hit about 400 feet down the road.

Long story short, ended up being a cop sitting 2.1 miles down the road (I checked the odometer as soon as it went off). The road isn't perfectly flat either. About 1.5 miles down it raises up about 600 feet... I'm sure that helped my detection of it, but 2.1 miles away!!!

 

 

That's it, I am ordering one next week.

 

im gonna add one...i was driving home to orlando on 75 from atl yesterday when i saw 2 strong Ka bands going on and off (instant on) from about 2 miles away....i go over a big hill and 2 cops are in the median with 5 other cops on the shoulder pulling people over...it was pretty damn crazy

 

It may have actually been farther than 2.1 miles because the radar was mounted inside the police crusier and the guy was headed in my direction. Although there are more traffic lights down in that direction that he may have been stopped at, it was 2.1 miles before I passed him.
