And another ones gone, 'nother one's gone...

Another one bites the dust. Traded the CL-S in yesterday for my new car:
2003 Nissan 350Z 6SPD

I just got sick of having an automatic and having such a lack of support for the CL when it comes to aftermarket availability.

Nismo LMGT4 wheels, Nismo Mats, Nismo short shifter, Nismo shift knob, Nismo lip kit. Other than that, it's stock!

Thanks for all of the information while I was here. I'm sure I'll pop in from time to time and see where things are at with the CL and what people are doing with them.

Thanks. I was looking at an 05 TL but it was an automatic as well. I was looking everywhere within a decent range from Omaha for a 6 speed but no luck within y price range. I really wanted a WRX for awhile, but can't find one unmolested or if it isn't molested, they want 30%-75% OVER KBB!!! I just went with this one after attempted to buy 2 others that were sold out from under me and this one popped up on the radar and I had to have it!

Not really.

I ran my friend that has an 04 350Z Touring model with cams, intake, CB exhaust, clutch & flywheel, BUT 20" CHROME WHEELS. I pulled him on a 40MPH roll and was about 1-1/2 cars ahead at 110MPH with the CL-S. This Z is stock and I'm at about the same spot against him. I told him there's either something wrong or he NEEEEEEDS to lose the chrome!

For those who don't venture into car-talk, mine is gone as well. Traded it last weekend on a 07 300C SRT8.

Sweet. I got an SRT8 as well but a Jeep. Still have the CL though so mine's not gone. CL's are becoming an endangered species it seems.

Congrats on the new Z

Yeah, the brickyard was only available from the 03s.

I just replaced my transmission through Certified Transmission with a full rebuild and they bored/ported the oil journals to eliminate the failure of the CL auto transmission issue. The car was then dyno'd to "test for failure" by the transmission shop and it put down 225HP & 199ft/lbs. I was surprised. That was when it only had an intake. I left the headers on the car when I traded it in, but wish I wouldn't have wrapped them now. lol

For the Z, I already ordered:
Nismo front lip (to match the rest of the kit)
New stubby 1.75" antenna
Double DIN adapter
HKS true dual exhaust
OBX Long Tube Headers
K&N ram cold air intake
Skunk2 Plenum Spacer
P2R intake manifold gaskets
OBX TB Spacer
EDIT:Nismo Floor Mats

I still need to order new front tires, new brakes all around and want to get SS brake lines. I may do Stance coilovers & wicked camber & toe kits as well, but we'll see after winter. lol

If you dont mind me asking, how much did you have to put on top of the CL if anything.

I had to put $1500 on top mainly because of all the nismo stuff & to have it shipped. KBB, they're actually pretty close because my cl had low miles and amazing condition. The new tranny actually hurt the value a little.

Yeah, I haven't heard anyone that has long tube headers with the hks exhaust. Because the long tube headers eliminate the cats, I'm assuming it will be the same as ones ran with test pipes. The downside, lth require you to remove motor mounts and pivot the engine to install.

I'm replacing all the wheel bearings too. One makes a little noise, and since it needs brakes, i'll do all of that at the same time.

Finally got it all cleaned up and polished. I removed the front mesh grill that was on it (not very appealing in my book). Hopefully exhaust will be here in a few weeks as well as the CF intake and Plenum spacer.
