Another one leaving Acurazine, much to be missed.
As some of you may have known my car was put on the market not too long ago. The dealings of trying to sell a custom car private became tedious. Voicemails, emails, people interested but not biting, not enough financing from banks, etc.
I finally traded her in after several pieces of bad news broke through.
1st. By the way I spent over $2k to get her fixed up to sell. I wanted the car to be in show condition for the next "guy".
2nd. I took the car in for an alignment and balancing since it was due and figured it would help sell the car if all check ups were in order. Before alignment they put the car on a lift and showed be that ALL the rims were bent; 3 slightly, 1 really bad and they wouldnt bother to balance. Thats when I knew I was going to have to let her go.
3rd. A non critical, yet important piece of the stereo became irreplaceable. It was the alpine unit that sat above the receiver. Its only function was to be literally as a monitor for the alpine processor, a $2K dollar piece of equipment. When not used to read the processor it would just say "ALPINE" in digital letters. If you needed to adjust some equalizer or other processing information the screen would act as a monitor to adjust settings. Anyhow, ALPINE says they couldn't fix the monitor because they dont make the parts anymore.
I am pissed, after only 5years they dont have the pieces? Not much I can do and that was the straw that broke the camels back. I couldnt see myself trying to sell it and have to explain all this stuff.
"Sir, I want XXX amount $$$$, but the rims are bent and you need two new rear tires and oh yeah, the alpine processor is only as functional as how it sounds now. (which, by the way was still phenomenal)
So she is gone, I will miss Acurazine and the car, but I will never forget all the help, praise and friendship I found here. I will check in from time to time.
Peace out! Sincerely,
Aron

First post when your leaving? lol
Anyway, lets here some details
What year, model(Type S or TL-P), color, aftermarket parts did you have?
You should have parted the aftermarket parts out for sure. Many people would even trade stock parts for them + cash. Stock parts will get you more money in trade in value.
How much do you get for trade in and what are you looking to buy now?

For some reason I couldnt post so i had the moderator reset everything. It was a '01 Type CL-S PDG. I got $11K trade-in, it was a lost cause at that point.
I have stock Acura CL springs if anyone needs them.
My new project is a Toyota Tundra 2008 5.7V8 SR5.
