A more modern looking interior....

So I cannot find the thread for the life of me but I remember a couple weeks back I saw somebody with a 3G TL wheel on their CL. It completely transformed the look of the interior for me and I want to try the same thing.

I've seen all the threads about the S2k wheel and the TSX etc, etc but they didn't look right to me.

So what I'm wondering is whether or not all of the functions of the wheel (audio/cruise controls) will still work?

yea, it wouldnt work without modification to say the least. if it could work, then you would find a lot more people doing it. the wood wheel to me looks nice.

personally, an '03 wheel looks great enough to refresh the interior; a-la pictures of ronjon's and kyle77's interiors (along with silver trim)

i believe i saw something where the airbag system is different for the 3g TL. so the wiring will not just line up.

umm I think you saw the s2000 wheel swap I never heard of the 3 gen TL steering wheel swap. There's nothing that would fit a CLS on that wheel.

This is really weird. I KNOW I saw it on a CLS on THIS forum, I don't go to any others lol.

I remember him saying that the airbags weren't hooked up and that he had to do a little re-wiring but that is like no work at all compared to how good it looks.

Just because that person did it half assed with the buttons/airbag not working doesn't mean that everyone has to do it like that.

If I can pick this up for under $500 i'm def. gonna do it.
