Another note of thanks to you all....

I was detailing the car last night and noticed that when I put my hand on the front, center of the hood (to get some bugs off of the front license plate) that there was some play in the hood latch and when you pressed down there was a clunk and when you let go there was another clunk. After reading someone elses post here about the adjustable screws for the hood, I popped the hood and found the 2 screws. One was all the way up and one was all the way down. Anyhow, I adjusted them both to the same location (up) and closed the hood. When it latched, the noise was much softer than it has been--been used to the hard metallic thud when you let go and it hits/latches.
I then drove it down the street to get bulbs for the driving light that was out. Low and behold, the noise that I've been hearing (thinking it was something in the glove box or around the cabin filter) is gone! I no longer get any secondary kind of noise after I hit a pothole or bump in the road.

Anyhow, I have a car with 2 working driving lights and a much quieter ride--so I thought I'd pass along the thanks!

Can you be a little more specific on the screws you adjusted. Were they on the actual hood or on the car/bumper. I think mine may need some attention. Thanks.

(please pardon my lack of technical eloquence) if you open the hood, you will notice two little rubber plug-like things right near the latch. These do not adjust. if you work your way outward (both sides) along that piece of plastic you will see 2 bigger pieces of rubber about 2/3 of the way out toward the corners. These 2 do adjust up and down--they have threads on them and bascially thread into the plastic that runs along the edge of the engine. Just make sure they're both up high enough so that when your hood is closed, it doesnt move up and down.

By the way, I didn't want to start another new thread, but I just found this at Edmunds.com. We have 107 TSB's out on the CL/CLS.
